Over the past four weeks, Oyotunji African Village has been working tirelessly to bring relief to the community's public buildings and temples that faced incredible devastation from the tropical storm during the early evening of Friday, June 17, 2016. We have been on the ground rebuilding the disaster areas to provide suport to the structures that have been impacted and are in dire need of restoration.
While relief efforts are underway, Oyotunji African Village could not have done this alone. We would like to thank Dokpwe and all of our villagers that had boots on the ground helping us in our time of need for IMMEDIATE DISASTER RELIEF.

While we relied heavily on our Dokpwe Men's Work Society and local volunteers for physical labor, we couldn’t do our relief efforts without you. We can’t say thank you enough to everyone who dropped off supplies, sent money, and gift cards. You have made an incredible difference in the lives of those who benefit daily from our community, and we continue to be humbled by the response of those not only in the Low Country, but nationwide.

The work has only begun as we continue the rebuilding process. As an organization, we believe in long-term restoration. We desire to see the damages of these -- and previously unpublicized storms-- completely restored, and we are committed to doing so for those who Oyotunji continues to serve. For this reason, we ask you to please donate to our Oyotunji Disaster Relief Fund.
