Odun Osun 2012

The Orisa Osun mother of the rivers and culture is celebrated. Priest from around the nation gather to pay homage to the goddess of culture. Yearly the Osun egbe sponsors brilliant lively events for children and the entire family.

What: Osun festival ( Celebration for the deity of rivers and children) 


When: May 4 thru 7 2012

Where: Kingdom of Oyotunji African village hwy 17-21 56 Bryant Lane Sheldon SC, 29941 (843) 846-8900 or 2157 oyotunji.org

Time: all events begin at 12 noon

Notice: In case of rain event will be held following weekend. Wear white clothes, bring ebun (gift) and or money for offering, candles for parade and prayer. All are welcomed to be blessed and pay respect at the shrine of Oba Waja, wear aso funfun ( white clothes.).

Osun fest 2012

All are welcome to participate in the Activities labeled  public. During the Egungun ceremony, The Evening Ball and the Osun parade the egbe will be accepting all adimu ( offerings).  Offerings of money, honey, fruit, candles, cloth and general gifts are accepted.
