African Naming Ceremony.
Journey back thru your past thru this invigorating and empowering experience. As a result of the Trans-atlantic holocaust many descendants of west Africa lost their Identity and most important of all their names. African names are strong and demand respect when it rolls off the tongue. Take on a name of your ancestors, take on a name that means something. The name ceremony begins with a trip to the sacred rives for a baptism, there is a divination (reading) given, and your new name and identity will be activated. This Itefa (reading) is performed for all children born into the society.

Be a part of the oldest cultural women's organization in the USA. Egbe Moremi consists of character building thru cultural understanding. Women's rights of passage in Oyotunji Village involves a set list of test and challenges to test the integrity of the initiate.

Orunmila Divination (reading)
Sit at the table of the oracle with a trained Awo of Ifa (babalawo) for a 30 min. reading over the phone or you can come to the sacred village and speak with a priest in person (recommended). The priest or priestess will consult the Ifa oracle for most all human situations. Be prepared to have a follow up visit.

Ijo Egungun Ceremony

The Egungun are the collective representations of deceased
family members who return to the world in the form of a masquerade; an ancient
Yoruba form of ancestor veneration. The priests at Oyotunji village
utilize this ancient tradition to bridge the gap between the African descendant
and his/her stolen past buy reconnecting them with their personal Egun (the
deceased specific to their familial lineage). This ceremony requires that the
client travel to the sacred Oyotunji village. This is a family occasion and the
client should be prepared to entertain their family and guests, both living and
deceased. Families are encouraged to view the ancestral masquerade dance as a
family reunion of sorts.

Akinkonju (men's rights of passage)
Join the men of the Oyotunji village and be a part of the Akinkonju (courage) men's society. This ceremony takes a male child from boyhood to manhood. The 20 test and challenges the males go thru will test the mental of the boys.
