Yemoja is honored with the women’s Egbe
Moremi rights ofpassage ceremony and
vibrant Bembe dance ceremony to the Orisa of mothers.

Kings day
june 30-july 2nd

The sixteen holy Ifa Odu are celebrated during this
two day festival that brings together Iyanifa,
Babalawo and omo Awo from across the globe.
The recitation of the holy Odu and the various
breakout sessions are a good way for beginners to
experience. The Pan African Assembly (PAGA). Is the
gathering of teachers and farmers of African descent
to explore ways to advance the grass roots components
​of Yoruba culture.

Sango fest
​july 28-30

The exciting Sango fest harnesses the heat of the mid
Carolina summer and transforms it into fierce fire dances
of the Magnificent god of thunder and third King of ancient
​ Oyo kingdom.

Obatala fest
​Aug 25-27

This Obatala festival highlights the first initiation of
an African American to Orisa tradition. Since 1959 Obatala
has been venerated for the wisdom, knowledge and patience.
The paternal deity of creativity is honored with offerings of
​Yams, parades and Bembe drum ceremony.

Onile Aje Day
​Oct 6-8

This stately festival honors Onile the mother of the land and
her council the Ogboni. The kings birthday is honored with
​chieftaincy installations and awards. Grand parade of Orisa Aje and

Oya fest.
oct 27-29

The Oya festival is the celebration of the fierce warrior goddess
of the winds and Queen of Oyo kingdom. During we give thanks
​ for Oya"s protection during the long hurricane and storm season.

Hwedo night
oct 31

Honoring Damballah Hwedo the ancestral servant deity who
en-coils the earth . The unknown dead are venerated on thisnight.

Obaluaiye fest
dec 21-31


The task master deity who is the giver and Protector of pandemics and diseases is celebrated with plays, fun parties and the yearly “Awan,”cleaning with the grains.
